I have posts where I added an “insert read more tag” divider where I have a natural break in the writing. However, under this layout, the read more/continue reading button occurs much earlier in the text than I’d like. Is there a way to change how many characters are allowed or something along those lines for the excerpt?
The excerpt length is 50 words.
If you want to change the excerpt length then go to the theme folder -> inc -> functions -> functions.php on line no 143 and change the number 50 to any you want.
