I like to change the header background to an image with a link. I tried all available features but found no suitable option. Could you please suggest a custom CSS for this?

If you add the custom logo image from Appearance->Theme Options->Design Options Tab->Custom Header then it will be linked back to main page as a link. But the header image is just a image and not a link so it will not link back to main page. We have designed the theme this way.
To add link in header image it needs code customization. You need to create a child theme and then customize the code.
