Advance Option – Homepage/Frontpage Category Settings not working

    Hello,

    I can not get the Homepage/Frontpage Category settings to work with just 1 Category for my home page. There are 6 Categories in the menu. I choose 1 by clicking on it, then save. I can see the category I want highlighted in grey but still all post categories still showing on my homepage. Any help with this would be greatly apppreciated.

    @kiki58 This option will only have effect if the ‘latest post’ option in checked in the Settings->Reading. Please check on that.

    Now I am wondering how I can get my Homepage in my Navigation Menu to land on same page as my website url, like it does when clicking on the header photo where my logo is. After I made this change in Settings->Reading, when I click on my logo it lands on a page with only the category I chose, this is what I wanted. Thank you.

    Now when I click on “Food Blog” which is the homepage I made and put in Navigation Menu,
    it goes to a page that has all categories. I want it to land on same page as when I click on my logo in the header.

    @kiki58 In the dashboard, go to Appearance->Menu. Create a custom link say http://yourhomepage.com (the link where you want it to redirect), add the link label as ‘Homepage’ or of your choice. Add this to the menu. And click on ‘Save Changes’. Try this and see if this is what you are looking for.
