Hi All,
After I build up my new website with attitude free theme I am encountering a problem.
Website :asvinsinnovations.com
problem:post title and post content not showing in the slider in small screens.
For slider images I have created 3 posts and added the slider images to the post’s featured images.It is working fine for wide screens monitors but when I check in the Small screens (for eg 15 to 16″monitors) the post title and texts not showing but the slider is fine.I have selected narrow layout for my site.
I have some custom CSS added and it is as follows.slogan-wrap .slogan {
width: 100.5%;
}
#site-title a {
color: #05a9c5;
}
.hgroup-wrap {
padding-top: 1px;
padding-bottom: 10px;
}
#main {
padding: 2px 0 .1px;

The slider description will not appear in mobile devices as we have designed our theme this way.

November 29, 2013 at 7:13 am #5451Suresh KumarParticipantThanks .But what I meant is it is not only in mob devices .For a 18 screen it is not showing but My 19 wide screen works fine .can you visit the site and check whether it is showing in your system?
Thanks

But it will not work below 19 that covers all mobile devices and iPads too because the way featured text is shown in desktop view it’s not possilbe to display in smaller device as it will block the images in the slider.

February 8, 2014 at 8:46 am #7367connectcaseParticipantRabin,
how can you call a theme responsive if it loses features when viewed on a smaller screen??
I chose the theme because it is supposed to be responsive and I loved it a lot….until I watched it on my iPad !!
At least give us a hint on where to look in the code to be able to change this restriction…
Cheers,
Cees

We have designed the theme that way, not to show the featured text for ipad, iphone and other similar small devices. In the iPhone if you show the featured text it may go beyond the slider area so this might be a issue, however you can use the following custom css to show the featured text in ipad.
In the dashboard, go to Appearance->Theme Options->Design Options Tab->Custom CSS and click on ‘Save all Changes’.@media only screen and (max-width: 1078px) { .featured-title, .featured-content { display: block; } } @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { .featured-title, .featured-content { display: none; } }
We will be thinking about showing the featured text in all devices including iPhone in an optimized manner in our future updates. Thanks.

July 8, 2014 at 9:56 am #11983HarrietMemberThank god I found this!! Huh. I thought that do I have to change my theme and do a LOT of work again… Thanks for the code. It is not perfect (the title and text goes above the image in iPad Mini, they could be smaller), but it can be used.
I also think like “connectcase”, that if you say and sell (I bought the Attitude pro just because it is responsible) something as responsible, it should be it 100%. I also sell and take price from my customers of my work as responsible. Sliders in the home page are a crucial part of a site, and it is really weird, if there is only sliding images in the home page and no text/info about what is going on…
Is there any way to make the text size smaller in mobile devices in the sliders?
July 10, 2014 at 9:58 am #12032Theme Horse Support TeamKeymasterHi Harriet,
We made the featured content OFF on mobile device. If we ON it then your featured image will whole covered by featured content and user could not able to see the featured image nor they can read the featured content. Hence we made it OFF for mobile devices.
Thank you!
December 8, 2014 at 5:54 pm #19183HarrietMemberHi again. This site is published now. My customer is not happy that the slider title and description are too high up in iPad and mobile. They want me to fix it, but I cannot do it. So please, could you help me out? 🙂
– how can I set the place (height) of the title and description?
– how can I change the size of the text in mobile devices?These cannot be too hard to do in custom css? And really, if you sell something to be responsible, it should totally be it! The site is very very plain and white, and if there is NO slider in the frontpage, the entire front page and site looks very stupid! 🙁
Thanks in advance!
December 8, 2014 at 6:39 pm #19184HarrietMemberOk, here is my code, it works good enough…
@media only screen and (max-width: 1078px) {
.featured-title,
.featured-content {
font-size: 80%;
display: block;
padding: 0px;
margin: 0px;
position: relative;
top: 45px;
bottom: 0px;
}
}
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
.featured-title,
.featured-content {
display: none;
}
}December 10, 2014 at 7:05 am #19262Theme Horse Support TeamKeymasterHi Harriet,
To position the height of the slider title and description.
Go to Appearance -> Theme Options -> Design Options Tab -> Custom CSS paste the following CSS code and Click on save all changes button:
.featured-text { bottom: 50px; }
Note: Increase/Decrease the above 50 digit to change the height of the title and description.
and Which text in mobile device that you want to reduce the size please clarify it?
Thank you!
February 21, 2015 at 11:52 am #22329wendy.hanlanParticipantI am working in this theme on my laptop. It was displaying fine yesterday and now today it is displaying on my laptop as though on a mobile device. The slider doesn’t show the title and excerpt and the service icons are in rows of 2 instead of 3. I have added the code you mentioned, but now my images don’t look very good. Is there a way to shrink the size of the title box and the excerpt box so they don’t interfere with my images? My site address is http://whatwillyoulose.ca.
