Slider issue with Event Manager Plugin

We are attempting to build a site based on this theme. We would like to have posts entered in the Event Manager plugin as some of the posts in the slider. The slider works fine but when we enter the ID of a post from Event manager they DON’T show up. Posts we put in via the editor show up fine. So clearly we have the slider set up properly but for some reason it will not see the Event manager posts. Event manager posts can be located both by an event title, e.g. (?event=buddhist-unite) and post id (e.g.?p=63) but if you use the post id it will still convert to the event title in the address bar when it displays the url (at least in firefox).

So, why won’t the slider find the event when we provide it with the id and is there a way to make this work?

@Themehorse As this is related to Event Manager plugin, perhaps the plugin author/support might provide you better support. Also, the plugin may not be fully compatible with our theme.

The plugin IS compatible with the theme. Apparently not with the slider though. It’s a plugin. Perhaps you could take a moment to test and see why it breaks? It does have a post id but your slider doesn’t see it. So I assume it is something about the filters you use in your query for posts.
