Whether clicking links to a couple of pages or refreshing the pages, the pages load to content midway down the pages. This only happens on the desktop. Why??

It’s happen due to the location feature that you are using into your site where the text field placeholder is selected by default which load the content to it’s exact section down to the page.
There may be some settings/option to disable the placeholder selection by default.
