Hello, I am using this theme along with WP EasyCart to showcase marketing material that my company offers to our offices. However, while trying to navigate back to an item’s category or to any of the store’s categories from an item or post page, my only option to is to hit the back button or select the page / category from the main theme menu.
Is there any way I can include a menu on the sidebar of a post page?
@Trina You could create custom menu for this with custom links. You can view this link http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/. After you have create a menu with all the custom links that you want. You can then go to Appearance->Widgets. Add the ‘Custom Menu’ widget to any sidebar area and select the menu that you just created. Hope this helps.
Thank you Sanjip for your Reply. I tried that and I am not able to see these custom menus / widgets on the ec_store items or post page but only when I set the visibility on pages and categories.
Also, there’s an option to make widgets visible on store item posts, however, it does not appear. What might I be doing wrong?
@Trina I guess you are trying to put some links in the sidebar/widget area. So, first step would be to create a menu with custom links you can do this with the link that I referred earlier. The ‘Custom Menu’ I am referring to is the default menu of the WordPress itself. It is there in the Appearance->Widgets. This widget can only be seen in Appearance->Widgets not in the post items. I guess I am not confusing you here.
Hi Sanjip! Thanks so much for your response and help! I have been overlooking the Post Page type in the visibility option. The menus are up and running now.
