Hello,
I’m trying to set up bbPress on this theme. There are a few things that don’t seem to work. I think the problem is that by default Interface shows excerpts and from what I’ve read this is causing a problem with the forum root page not displaying properly.
You can see what I mean here.
Is there a simple way to turn excerpts off. I reckon that might fix it.
Thank you for your help.

July 2, 2014 at 1:19 pm #11845BenMemberI have downloaded the new theme and I’m trying to upload and install it on WordPress but it says it has failed because “Destination folder already exists.” Do I need to upload it a different way?
July 2, 2014 at 5:13 pm #11849BenMemberHi guys, I sorted that out and the new version is working mostly. There are just a couple of problems.
1. The forum root page (http://www.experttabletennis.com/forums/) goes a bit funny and loses the title banner that is on every other page. I can fix this by creating a different forum root page and pasting in the shortcode for the forum (http://www.experttabletennis.com/academy/). However if you go into any particular forum or topic (http://www.experttabletennis.com/forums/forum/post-videos/) the “forums” root page is still the one displayed in the breadcrumbs along the top, so if anyone wants to go back to the root page they will click the breadcrumb link and be taken to the faulty forum root page and be a little confused.
2. If you look at the layout of the topic on a page (http://www.experttabletennis.com/forums/forum/post-videos/) you’ll see that there is a white space along the left hand side of the box. I don’t think this should be there and I’m not sure what is causing it. I think the grey or white background for each topic should go the whole way along to the border on the left as it does at the right hand side of the box.
If you could help me with these two issues I’d really appreciate it. It certainly looks like it isn’t far off working correctly now.
Thank you so much for your help. I can’t wait to get a forum started on my site!
Ben
July 3, 2014 at 6:02 am #11865Theme Horse Support TeamKeymasterHI Ben,
To display forum create a new page and add a shortcode in a page [bbp-forum-index] , Then this will display the forum title in title banner.
Forum have its own breadcrumbs if some one wants to go to the root topic they will have to click on forum breadcrumbs, the top page title banners breadcrumbs are of the site breadcrumbs and it is not for the forums topics. We don’t think that the breadcrumbs have some other issues.
About the margin we found that you didn’t update your style.css and still using the old version. Please update it. We have already written the CSS code to support bbPress forums.
Thank you!

April 22, 2015 at 1:15 pm #24238JamesParticipantNeed some help:
1) how do you start a new Topic in this Forum, I can click on a topic and scroll to the bottom and comment on a given topic but how do you start and entirely new thread or topic?
2) I would like to find the code I need to use to move the Page down from the top. (so I can see a little of the page background before the actual page begins. as if the page was floating off of the top.
thank
