When I “bold” paragraph text it doesn’t appear bold. In fact – it looks exactly like normal text. The “strong” tags don’t seem to have any effect. Is there a way to add more weight to bolded text? Is there a simple custom CSS adjustment that I could apply?
Hi pttony,
Yes exactly. We have filtered the text so if you use strong for blog then it will automatically counts the value and filter it. So it will not show any effect while using bold. This will only applied using the default template other than using any template it will not displayed. We have designed our theme this way. If you want then it needs code customisation so you need to hire a developer.
What’s the rationale for filtering out bold text?? You may want to be upfront about that in the literature that promotes your theme. I see it as a severe limitation to my ability to present clear content for my readers. I may need to switch themes as a result. That’s unfortunate as I’ve spent several weeks setting up this new site.
Hi pttony,
Could you once send the site url ? If you use the default template then the bold tag must work. Are you using any template on page or its default template ?
I’m using the default template on my pages… with a corporate home page.
Here is a link to a page that should have bold text on it… in lieu of bold, I’ve used color to make a few passages stand out (the purplish text should be bold).
Hi pttony,
I just visited to your site and copied your text and tried in my local host. The strong tag is working fine. Just view this screenshot. http://awesomescreenshot.com/01b3ru7948
There may be some plugins conflict on your site or some thing issue. So just deactivate all the plugins and check it once. Its working fine here.
