Hi,
I’ve used WP for several years and when I created this new site http://advocatesforconsumerrights.org/ I decided to begin with a very basic theme with no special CSS in order to be perfectly certain that I understood all of the basics of the theme before upgrading to a Pro version. After much consideration, I chose your WordPress Attitude theme.Everything had gone smoothly until a few days ago when the header image/logo just disappeared with a broken link image displayed?
I have done everything I can think of including the complete removal and new upload of a newly Photoshopped version of my .jpg logo which is _exactly_ 1038 pixels wide as required. Although the new image/logo uploads and displays nicely. the old broken link remains in place above the new image as you can see is you visit the site. I’ve spent many hours on this and need some guidance. Please advise. Scott Foster, Honolulu
P.S. According to my Dashboard information, the 4.1 version of my free “Attitude” install is the latest.

I just visited to your site and you don’t have this image ( afcr2.jpg ) inside your uploads folder.
http://advocatesforconsumerrights.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/So once again upload the image. If you are unable then could you once send your temporary username and password at [email protected], Don’t forget to send this forum url too.
Thank you!

We got your message. Yes your website is almost hacked.
First change all of your ftp and WordPress dashboard administrator password and install the fresh copy of WordPress as well as all the themes and plugins with new database before doing it, first make a backup of your current site.We also recommended you to use the security plugins for your WordPress Site and use strong password on Ftp, Cpanel and WordPress dashboard. You can also find more security articles via google too.
Thank you!

What does this mean “your website is almost hacked.” Almost? Please explain. Either it’s been hacked or it hasn’t? It seems to me that YOUR theme security is weak if someone can hack a new, state of the art theme.
Where do you suggest I “make a backup of my current site?” On my computer? If I do that would I not have the corrupted files and databases backed up as well?
Where do I find the database you mention?
I’ve changed the password but I remain truly flabbergasted by all of the time an money this is costing me. The tech I contacted for help asked for $250 to just look at the dashboard! I really need some help on this from you folks. If you can guide me through reinstalling the WP program and the theme I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you again. – Scott Foster.

I think you have used before some other WordPress theme/ site, So that the hacker is trying to access your dashboard but your site is not hacked still. You have not cleaned the database and files. If this is our theme issues then we already get notified because millions of users are using this theme. Before our theme goes to live it is checked by wordpress.org reviewer team.
Paste this url from header logo image
http://advocatesforconsumerrights.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/cropped-AFCR_masthead_2-2-15.jpg
and paste thishttp://advocatesforconsumerrights.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/cropped-AFCR_masthead_2_2_15.jpg
then your image will be loaded. If you could not get your image access then there may be still issue in your site. You must download your database from you Cpanel. After backuping your database and themes folder you may simply delete the old wordpress and reinstall the fresh/ latest version of wordpress and install the backuped theme.
Install this plugins for more security too
https://wordpress.org/plugins/better-wp-security/ or
https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/
There are many other security plugins to protect from malware.Thank you!
