This one may be a bit confusing. I’m not sure what to do.

Let me start by explaining what I’m hoping to have happen.

As it is, when I make a post on google+, that post is automatically imported via a google+ Blog plugin to make a new post on my wordpress site.

For example, here is a google+ post
    https://plus.google.com/+PaulRoustan/posts/BDcBk7gAECF

which was then auto imported into my website
    http://www.roustanbodypaint.com/my-competition-piece

    Here is my issue

In a previous theme, the +1 button associated with the wordpress post would link canonically to the google+ post, counting all +1s from the g+ post on the wordpress. Therefore, when someone +1s the post on G+, it would show on my wordpress website.

I believe when I made the switch to Attitude Pro, this no longer happened. Now, you can see the number of +1s on the bottom of the wordpress page do not tally the g+ +1s. However, the canonical link on the wordpress site is still referring to the G+ post. This can be verified by analyzing the source code and searching for ref=canonical

    SO! I believe..

Somewhere the g+ canonical reference is being overridden.

Maybe automatically in the attitude pro theme? Does attitude pro automatically set canonical ref for new posts overriding existing canonical ref?

And if so, is there a way to eliminate that, maybe with css?

I tried disabling plugins that might be conflisting. but the only one I could think would be doing it was “all in one seo”. Disabling that, and making an entirely new post did not solve the problem.

So, I believe it must be somewhere in the theme.

    Any help? Thanks in advance.

it won’t let me paste the g+ url for some reason. You can find it in the source code of the wordpress link the canonical ref

    Hi Flow
This issue doesn’t seems to be our theme issue. We don’t have any such code in our theme that seems to interfere with the plugin. We feel the plugin author can give your better solution on this case.
