I can’t add media to any of my pages. What’s the deal here?

Hi Lisa,

Just update the fresh WordPress there may be something missing in dashboard. After that whether your problem will solve or not let us know. If still the same problem then switch to twenty fourteen theme and check it whether the same problem occurs or not. I think we don’t have any issue regarding to the theme.

I have the same problem and it is no theme issue, I updated to WP 4.0 again and nothing changed, tried it with twenty twelve and nothing changed, does anybody know what to do?

This is not a theme issue. So you may consult with the developer to fix it. If any solution we found then we will let you know. Just once deactivate all the plugin you have installed. There may also be some plugin conflict.
