Hi

I need to have this theme in Finnish and I believe I have done everything correct:
– I have copied from attitude/libraries/languages xx_XX.po and xx_XX.mo files
– translated them with text editor
– saved xx_XX.mo as fi_FI.mo
– used online tool to create fi_FI.po file
– uploaded them in attitude/libraries/languages/

But still for example Previous is Previous, not Edellinen as it should be.

What have I done wrong?

Actually we don’t create language file. We just create a .pot file to support the language. For more information view this link

I did as was told in that link: downloaded PoEdit, Opened de_DE.po file, saved it as fi_FI.po, made necessary translations in fi_FI.po, created fi_FI.mo with PoEdit and uploaded both files attitude/libraries/languages. But still no change. I changed sites defaulr language to German and then it changed also templates language. What have I done wrong?

If you have done everything right then open your wp-config.php file which is located in the root install-directory and paste this code.
define( 'WPLANG', 'de_DE' );
After adding this code Goto Dashboard-> settings-> Reading-> Site Language and select your language and click on Save Changes

I have already done all that but didn’t help. I made the translations straight to content_extensions.php, but academically I’m interested what have I done wrong.
