I am not a programmer. I’m brand new to WordPress, have only used Composer as a WYSIWYG in the past. I’m trying to insert an image for the lower contact info bar. I have no idea of size — this is not one of the image sizes included in documentation. So I punted. Started with 1200×600. It gave me maybe 1/4 of the image. So I reduced it to 600×300. And I got the exact same image only out of focus. Which leaves me nowhere to go. I would be ready to give up and have a background color, but I see no way of changing it from the light blue to the red/black/gray I have set up for the rest of the website. Can someone help me with this? Thanks.

Did you made any code customization on it? Header background image is working fine on the theme with no issues. To change the color of bottom info bar goto dashboard -> appearance -> theme options -> color options -> bottom color options -> Bottom Contact Info Bar and change the color as you like.
If you problem is still not solved then provide your site Url too. So that we may help you
Thank you!

I would still like to know what size graphic can be used there.
I have not done anything with code — as I said, I am not a programmer.

Thanks for the help.

I think you have requested red color but still getting light blue. Because the color hex code you are using is only 5 digit
#f2000
which must be#f20000
(6 digits)There is no any recommended image size for background image. You may use any size image which fits your design. The image will be displayed to 100% either you use big or small image.
Thank you!

Using an image for the contact bar is still a problem, so I have at least for now used the red. The problem is that the image that I used, no matter the size, distorted. I had bookcovers and my photo on a Chicago city background. And no matter how I tried to adjust it — and that was 8 different sizes — it simply stretched everything taller and brought the images out of focus. I have photoshop and photoshop elements and can make that image whatever size works. But I can’t find a size that does work. That’s why I asked about the size. I am using the contact info bar add an image link.

At the moment, I don’t have time to mess with it, but I may come back to it in a week or so. Please leave this thread open until then. Thanks.
