I’ve been trying to update my plugins and when I try to update all 4 I get the message, “Could not remove the old plugin.” Any idea what I could do to fix this? Thank you!

If you are not able to remove the old plugins from the old plugins then there is only one way to delete it from ftp, You just login to the ftp and inside ftp there may be public_html or other
Go to public_html -> theme folder(WordPress) -> wp-content -> plugins

Then delete the plugins which you are not able to remove the plugins. And after doing this you can simply add a latest version of plugins from the dashboard.

If I delete the old plugins won’t I delete the content on the plugins? One of the plugins is Black Studio TineMCE, a widget for displaying content. I’d rather ask this question before I start deleting.

Sorry for misunderstanding.
For example :-
If you want to delete revslider plugins, then
goto public_html -> theme folder(WordPress) -> wp-content -> plugins
Now you can see the plugins list. Do not delete other plugins. We recommended you to delete only the plugins you need to remove. Other Plugins you must not delete. Delete the revslider Plugins and update your latest version of plugins from your dashboard or if you want to delete it from ftp then first unzip the plugins and then only upload it and activate it from your admin dashboard.

The content will not be lost because it is stored in your database. But you need to install the new version of plugins to display the content.

We recommended you to backup the plugins file before going to delete the plugins. After backup of plugins only you delete the old plugins.
