I have the same question but the answer above doesn’t seem to apply to my situation. My homepage has the slider (which I want) but so does my blog page (don’t want it there). But my homepage is a static page, not latest blogposts. So what do I do?I have Settings – Reading – Front Page Display set to Static Page.
Thanks for your help!

April 22, 2014 at 1:46 pm #9634Theme Horse Support TeamKeymasterOk you go to the settings-> reading-> front page display.
select static page (select below) as radio buttom and below it
Front page: home page (you assign to it)
Posts page dont select any post here.Hope this helps you

SunilApril 26, 2014 at 10:23 pm #9750pvollherbstParticipantAlmost there – I now have the slider only on the homepage (which is a static page), and the blog page without a slider – good!
But the slider posts are appearing on the Blog page – I don’t want them to – only the other categories of posts…. how do I fix that?
On Appearance-Theme Options-Featured Post/Page-Slider-Featured Post/Page-Slider Options,
I have checked the box:
Exclude Slider post from Homepage posts? Check to excludeWhat am I doing wrong?
Thanks for your help!
April 27, 2014 at 1:55 pm #9756Theme Horse Support TeamKeymasterHi
If it is your blog page as a home page then the slider will exclude. If you really dont want that slider then you may not put the id of the slider in the featured slider. We have designed our theme this way so if you need the theme in your own way then you need to customize them code.

SunilApril 27, 2014 at 7:17 pm #9772pvollherbstParticipantHi,
Thanks for your quick response. Just want to clarify, to make sure I communicated clearly what I’m trying to do:1. Static page as homepage. That static page has a slider.
2. Separate page (not the homepage) for blog posts.
3. Do not want the posts from the homepage slider to appear as posts on the blog page – would like to exclude them. Are you saying that the settings in the theme cannot do this, and that I would need to customize the code to make this happen?
If so, do you provide this service, and how would I get a cost estimate?
Thanks!
P.S. I tried the plug-in, Ultimate Category Excluder, but it seemed to exclude the posts from both the homepage and the blogpage, so that I ended up without a slider on my homepage – not good!
April 28, 2014 at 1:22 pm #9797Theme Horse Support TeamKeymasterHi pvollherbst,
We have designed our theme in this way. Yes you need code customization for it. Before customizing theme first you need to make the child theme and unhook the function of your blog post. Thene only you can edit it and customize the code.
Because if you didnot make the childthmee and customize the code then all your customize code will be lost while updating to our new version update theme. So we recommened you to make child theme.https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes
