I would like to have a different footer on the homepage than on the interior pages of my site. I am using Interface Pro. I’ve read a little bit about adding a new footer.php file and then using the get_footer() function, but I am unsure how to accomplish this in this particular theme. Any help you can provide would be great.

I would like a three column footer on the home page and a one column footer on the interior pages.

Hi Shana,
This feature is not available in our theme. We have designed our theme this way. It needs code customisation so you need to hire a developer to fix the issue. We recommended not to change the code because if you change the code then while updating to our new version all your customisation code will be lost. So better make child theme and first unhook the functions and the edit the code.

To change the footer the file is inside interface-pro -> inc -> structure -> footer-extension.php
