Hi There
I need to create a four column gallery exactly like your demo version:

I’ve tried to follow your instructions, but it is not working:

If this is not working, can you recommend any plugins that will work with your theme?

When I follow the instructions below, the image in the gallery is not showing up. I’ve got the image set at full-size – not thumbnail:

@BlackWidow Can you post a link to the exact page, so I can look into it further. If the url of the page that you are using is like http://www.yoursite.com/gallery try changing it to something else like http://www.yoursite.com/somethingelse. See if this solves the issue.

thanks for your advice. I changed ‘gallery’ to ‘work’ but it made no difference.

As you can see, the page titles are appearing, but the images are not.

I’ll just go through with you the instructions you have on your website:

Go to Galleries->Add New in your dashboard.
Yes, I’ve done this

Add Title which will be Image title.
Yes, I’ve added titles to the four images

Add featured image for this post
Yes, I’ve done this – but as you can see, no images

Click on Publish
Yes, did that.

If you have multiple images(other images too) to be shown. Repeat the first four steps again.
Yes, added four images

After you are done with adding the posts in Galleries.Create a Page, give it title.
I titled the page ‘work’

On the right hand-side, click on template dropdown.From the dropdow, select any of from three template ( Gallery four column template, Gallery three column template, Gallery two column template)
Yes, I did this. I chose four columns.

Click Publish button
Yes, did this.

Now choose this page as menu
This is the instruction which I cannot figure out. Do I click ‘Bridesmaids’ in the submenu? If so, the images are still not showing up.

If you could check the page out and let me know what is happening, that would be great.

@BlackWidow I think Add featured image for this post this is the place where you went wrong, just a guess though. I think you have added the image in the content of the page. You need to add the featured image. If you see in the screen when adding the gallery post you will see a Featured image option box. Then click on set featured image link and set the featured image from there and click on ‘Update’. Try this and see if this solves the issue. If the issue does not get solved, then you can send your temporary username and password via our contact page not here and I will look into it.

It worked! You were correct. I was adding the image to the content and not as the Feature Image.

Just another quick question. Is there any way of repositioning the thumbnail gallery image? This image seems to center itself and I would like to reposition it.

@BlackWidow Okay. About the image question, I think you are asking about changing the cropping position. WordPress by default crops the image form the centre point. There might to be some plugins to changing the cropping position, you can search for those. You can also try this plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/thumbnail-crop-position/

I downloaded a plug-in called ‘Manual Image Crop’ and it works.

Just another quick question, In Galleries, is there any way of rearranging the order of the pics once you have uploaded them?

@BlackWidow The order is dependent on the date of publish, you can edit the date of publish this way you can edit the order as well.
If you upload the images of equal sizes this should not be a problem, when you upload the image of different size while cropping the images may not be equal in height as well so that is causing the issue.

I’ve cropped the thumbnails of every image to the same size, but there’s still gaps in the gallery.

So, do I have to make every full size image the same size for the gallery? That might be OK for me if I was doing it, but my client is the person who will be controlling the gallery in a couple of months time. She doesn’t have Photoshop to crop the images. This seems to be an real oversight on the theme.

@BlackWidow In that case if the client could upload images of different size then this problem will also rise there. So, it is better to use some other gallery plugins. About our gallery we will think about this in our future updates.

Hi Sanjip,

I too am trying to follow the step by step instruction on creating a gallery. I’ve created just 4 gallery items and have the images set for each gallery item as a featured item. But when I create the page to view the gallery, it lists them vertically single file and not like in the demo.

Help…this is my live portfolio and I have active visitors.
