I’d like to add widget into sidebar on Category page. But I really don’t know how to do it.

I know how to set sidebar and widgets with using Blog Image Medium template on blog page like below.

However, on the category page, I could not add any widgets. Because there is no way set the sidebar.

Hi @banandrop. When I created the new category page I changed the page layout to right sidebar. The option is at the very bottom of the page template. The widgets in the category page sidebar are identical to the ones in the blog page sidebar. I know there’s a plug-in that lets you control which widgets display on which pages, but I don’t know the name of it and haven’t tested it.

I am a bit confused… could you help me again. already thanks.

I have lots of posts, so I want to display the post belonging to paticular category when I click one menu.
So what I did is
[Appearance]-[Menu]-select one topic in Category -put in the menu.

When I click the menu, the posts’s title are comes up. But the page template is just bagic wide one with no sidebar.
Even There is no way to set the page for that. so I cant change the layout….
hope you understand what I mean….
category page is not made in [Page].

Maybe we have different defaults. Under Appearance>Theme Options>Default Layout Options I have Right Sidebar selected.
