how to make text wrap around featured image or show only the featured image in small size like 150px with a read more button or link on the front page for every post.

one more thing the default post format is also not working, i tried all the post formats but the post format didn’t changed at all on front page.

What post format you want ? You need to create the page and assign the template. The go to dashobard-> setting-> reading
There select the latest post. Set the image at featured to show the blog image large or blog image medium. if you want to display in full content then you need to keep the image in editor.
Then you may be able to see the post.
