I want to password protect some posts but when I do so it even hides the thumbnail image and excerpt on the main page. Is there a way to show the thumbnail image and the excerpt of a password protected post (in other words, only password protect the content of the post)?

For this it needs code customization and you need to hire a developer as this is a new feature to add in the theme.
