I have a blog page which basically shows all my posts with different categories. How can I create a new page that only shows 1 or two selected categories with a right sidebar.
I know I can add a category page to my menu, but I cannot edit the layout of that page. For example, category A will not have a right sidebar or other widgets.
I have already tried this: Create a page>go to custom fields> add a new field “query_args”>add cat=82 . this didn’t work.

here you can select multiple category but this will effect only in home page. We have designed our theme this way. If you want other than it then it needs code customization and you need to hire a developer to fix it. Before making any changes in the theme first of all you need to create a child theme then only customize the code. So that your updated data will not be loss while upgrading to our new version.

It says : “Only the posts that belong to the categories selected here will be displayed on the front page.”
I have 3 different options –Disabled–, Category “Klein-Sinaai” and Category “Stekene”
Even when I only select “Klein-Sinaai”(Save Changes); all messages including Category “Stekene” are shown on the front page.
Any solution for this?

If you have selected both the Category “Klein-Sinaai” and Category “Stekene” on the related post then it will be displayed. Could you once send your site url too.

You may choose your latest post from settings -> readings or if you want to use static page then you may use front page for business template or post page for any post pgae. Then only the settings will effect on the front page. The settings will not effect in front page which you have selected from settings-> reading
