    Hi,

First, a beautiful theme, great work.

I went through all the topics here and on wordpress website and couldn’t find a similar question.

When entering a menu item page, for example http://www.whyculturedmeat.org/essays/ , I expected to see abstracts of the sub menu pages with a thumbnail and a “view page” button.

    Like here:

Is it achievable with Clean Retina?

    Thank you very much.

I could not get what you are trying to achieve. Can you clarify on this more?

Yes, thank you for getting back to me.

From my wordpress experience with several themes, if I press on a menu item which contains sub menu items:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/q9osduuxivzwgf9/1.png

I should get a page that consist content with access to sub menu pages:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/1p7d1ee5e1ay20i/2.png

And not an empty content page:

I think it makes sense that if I presses on menu item with sub menu items, that within its content I will have an access to the sub menu items’ pages.

I hope I was clear enough.
    What to you think?

    Thank you very much.

@WhyCulturedMeat Actually, the page show their own content added through the dashbaord. This is usaully like this with almost all themes and also same with our theme. The example that you have shown may have links to the subpages in its content that why you might be seeing it. The example that you have shown may be specifically designed that way. Our theme is not like that it shows the content of the page added in the backend to the frontend.

What you could do is create a category instead, I think that might be the case in the example you have shown. Create a category, add the posts to that category and show that in the menu. You can view this link http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/ on how to add it to the menu. Hope this helps.

    Hi, thank you.

Actually, I used your idea once for the Video menu item, but changed it since it forced me to use custom menu which is not comfortable because I need to manually ad new pages.
To your knowledge, is it possible to use a custom menu in a way that new pages will automatically be added to the menu?

Regarding what I saw, they were pages, not categories. I saw it in Graphine theme and another theme which I don’t know its name. But never mind, I’m sure you are right.

    Thank you.

Hi, About the custom menu, if you are setting the custom menu then you will need to add the pages to the menu manually. Yes, about the pages/categories I am not sure on that as it will depend from theme to theme on how it is designed and coded.
