Please try deactivating plugin one by one. May some plugin conflict the menu script.

Also try re-installing the fresh copy of the theme in your site.

i didnt customise any code. also i deleted the theme and reinstalled it from my wordpress dashboard, still same.

Please provide us the temporary username and password to your site via Email with this forum link. So that we can see the issue in your site. It is sure that some script that you have used in widget OR anywhere is conflicting the menu script.
