I’m an absolute beginner to WP. I am running version 4. with Interface Pro Theme and have set up a number of sliders with revolution slider. I want to put text onto photos on slides I have made. I make a new layer and then try the various style editing options but the text always stays the same, small with black lettering instead of with a background and various sizes. A friend who helped me get this far is using the same theme and revolution slider and by him it works. For now I settled for the basic buttons option to create text but it doesn’t look good. Also, to get updates for the revolution slider It says I have to register and give an Api code from an envato account but I don’t understand what this is??? I’ve pad for the pro version, should this get automatic updates?

We have zipped packed the revolution slider. If there is any new updates on revolution slider then only we will provide and also if there is some big issue.We have just provided the revolution slider but we can give the support of it. You may just contact to the Revolution slider forum.

Most of the other plugins I use seem have frequent updates which I get notified of and can do with a single click. There is a message on the revolution slider page that recommends and offers premium support and automatic updates but asks for an api number and envato account but i don’t understand what these are? I don’t seeanything about this in the emails I got when buying teh Interface Pro nor in the downloadeded zipped folder. When I try to manually update, it doesn’t work and states soemthing about having to update over the ftp??? I don’t get what all this means?!

This revolution slider we have bought an extended version of plugins and we provided a zipped file. but we can’t provide any support and updates about the slider. if there is some issue in revolution slider then we provide the latest update,
if you want Premium support then you need to buy revolution slider and update it from FTP or from the dashboard.

How do I update? There is a manually update button for the revolution slider over the dashboard but it doesn’t work. It states that I need to someehow to do it over the ftp but how?

If you have the latest version the you can update it from the ftp too. Just login to the ftp details from filezilla or any other ftp. First unzip the slider plugins.

Go to public_html -> theme folder (interface-pro) -> wp-content -> plugins and paste or upload revolution slider. If there is already exists revolution slider then first of all delete the revolution slider and then after upload a new version. After doing it activate it from your dashboard and you will have a new version of revolution slider in your dashboard.
