I had never had problems sharing on social media using the sharing buttons underneath each post. Now when I go to share a new post, the link that gets posted (to Facebook for example) does not show the feature image, sometimes doesn’t show the title, and states “page not found”. Spoke to web host tech support and they believe it is a theme issue. Please advise.

Are you using plugins? First of all deactivate all the plugins and check whether it works or not. Also activate twentyfourteen themes too from your dashboard and whether the same problem exists or not.
