Hi,

I’m wondering how to get videos to show up on the excerpts? I have a link to a YouTube video and the player only shows up when I click into the ‘Read More’ button.

@ctsma Try adding the video link in the Excerpt option box just below the post editor main box.

Hi Sanjip, I don’t see a Excerpt option box below the post editor. I only see boxes for some plugins I have added to my blog.

@ctsma Go to the post in the dashboard, in the post editor screen you will see the ‘screen options’ link in the top right then click on it
and check the ‘Excerpt’ option. Now you should be able to see the ‘Excerpt’ option box somewhere in your screen.

Here is the proccess to see the excerpt option box.
Just go to dashboard-> page/post-> edit page / post.
At the top right side there is screen Options – > Click on it -> select the Excerpt check box.

Now you can see the excerpt box below editor box,
