Thank you for your reply. Your theme is excellent for a novice like myself. Being a novice, I guess I did not understand what “Responsive” meant. I thought the entire web site (including the sidebar) would resize itself to appear on a mobile phone like it appears on a tablet or PC. sorry to have wasted your time.
