My site no longer shows some images – does the theme ‘clean retina pro’ work with the latest version of WordPress? I have also just got the ssl certificate – could that be a problem with the theme?

I have all updates and am now running 1.8 but I still do not have the category option under galleries. What am I missing? My goal is to have 3 separate galleries on the site.
