Thank you, but I do not need a static page, I need posts displayed in the title page.
And, I saw no changes after a did what you advised – the widgets get columned anyway. Attached see the shot.

freshly installed wordpress
no code modifications
just selected theme
non-Themehorse widgets wor perfectly

jeeze, no widgets are working at all everywhere in the site.
do you update your themes? wordpress recently updated – maybe this is the reason.
