How strange. I’ve tried turning off all chrome extensions… and nothing changed.
pttonyParticipantI tried both – it makes no difference. Still no bold in chrome browser (Version 65.0.3325.181) on a mac.
pttonyParticipantI should revise my previous request. After some more digging I see that the basic “paragraph” text appears in bold in Safari, Firefox, and Chrome on my iphone…
However, if you view it in Chrome on a mac no bold appears. Is there something funny with Chrome and rendering of your bold font?
See for example this page:
http://www.i-i-p-e.org/phoenix/The 2nd paragraph that begins with “This year we will focus on the responses…” should be all in bold. In Chrome no bold appears.
Thanks for checking into this..
pttonyParticipantI downloaded the latest version of clean retina pro – the Slider Revolution version packaged there is only 4.6. Can you please provide me with 4.6.5 to assure security is met?
pttonyParticipantI’m using the default template on my pages… with a corporate home page.
Here is a link to a page that should have bold text on it… in lieu of bold, I’ve used color to make a few passages stand out (the purplish text should be bold).

Here is the homepage:
pttonyParticipantFYI – I don’t use posts (blogs) – just pages. So it strips out the strong text for pages too?
pttonyParticipantWhat’s the rationale for filtering out bold text?? You may want to be upfront about that in the literature that promotes your theme. I see it as a severe limitation to my ability to present clear content for my readers. I may need to switch themes as a result. That’s unfortunate as I’ve spent several weeks setting up this new site.
